Metalcraft Master Punch / Shear Tool complete with Tape Measuring Device
The Metalcraft Master Punch and Shear Tool complete with Tape Measuring Device is a robust, dual purpose steel guillotine and hole punching tool for the easy cutting and punching of mild steel strip and bar up to a maximum of 1/4" thickness
The metal punch tool easily punches holes in steel by using a punch block and pin which is specially machined and hardened for the task. The metal is simply placed in the slotted punch block and holes are easily punched by pulling down on the handle. To achieve accurate positioning along the center of different widths of bar, the adjustable platform is used to ensure consistent results.
The hole punching facility on this Punch / Shear machine, also compliments the use of our Master Riveting / Bending / Rolling Tool to easily and quickly rivet lengths of punched steel strip together.
When used as a metal bar cutter, the mild metal steel strip, square bar or round rod, is fed into the aperture between the lower fixed blade and the larger lever operated upper blade, after which the lever is simply and firmly pulled forwards to achieve a clean and neat cut.
This handy Master Punch / Shear Tool comes complete with tape measuring device to facilitate the precise measurement of cut lengths of steel every time, as well as ensuring the distance between punched holes and the center of a punched hole to the end of the bar is consistently accurate. Because this metal punching tool and steel guillotine is portable and requires no electrical power, it is well suited to ‘onsite’ work and can be used in any DIY, training or production environment.
Along with Tape Measuring Device, tool comes with:
- 3 sizes of punch blocks/pins (1/8", 3/16", and 1/4") to punch round holes.
- 2 punch pins of each size (6 total - including the (1) 3/16" punch pin fitted on tool at time of shipping)
- Allen Keys
EASY TO USE - no pre-heating of metal required to cut or punch holes.

Rugged cam lever action allows one to punch and cut metal. On the Master Punch/Shear Tool, the operating handle can be reversed to cut and punch in opposite directions.
To shear, material is placed in gap between small fixed blade and large lever operated blade. Operate lever smoothly and firmly to cut. (photo on Right shown with Practical PS Tool)

Punching 1/8", 3/16", or 1/4" round holes is achieved by placing flat metal strip in the appropriate size punch block. Pull the lever toward yourself or away depending on which way you have the handle. Platform is adjustable to allow for accurate positioning along the center of different widths of metal. The Measuring Device enables you to set repeatable cutting lengths or hole punch positions (from end of bars or from other holes).
